Where are all 9 grahas right now, relative to my chart?
This calculator shows the current sidereal position of all 9 grahas — Sun through Ketu — relative to your natal chart. Saturn, Jupiter, Sun, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Rahu and Ketu also carry a multi-year sign-change forecast; the Moon moves too fast (a new sign every ~2.25 days) for a multi-year forecast list to be useful, so only its current position is shown.
Why the Moon is shown differently
Saturn and Jupiter move slowly enough that their transits mark multi-year chapters, and Rahu/Ketu's transits define entire dosha windows like Kaal Sarp or Sade Sati — the traditional reason Vedic timing predictions lean on these bodies. The Sun, Mars, Mercury and Venus move faster but still change sign roughly monthly, so a multi-year forecast is still a manageable, useful list for them too. The Moon is the one exception: it changes sign every ~2.25 days, so a correctly computed 10-year forecast would run to roughly 1,600 entries — not a 'transit window' the way it's actually used in practice. Its current position is still shown here; a multi-year list for it isn't.
Common questions
- Does this really show all 9 planets now?
- Yes — current sidereal position for Sun through Ketu, relative to the houses your birth chart set up.
- Why doesn't the Moon get a multi-year forecast like the others?
- It changes sign roughly every 2.25 days. A 10-year forecast would be about 1,600 dates — not a useful 'transit window' the way it is for the slower bodies. Its current position is shown; the long forecast list isn't.
- How is this different from my natal chart?
- Your natal chart is fixed at birth; this shows where these planets are today, read against the houses your birth chart set up.
