Free, and calculated daily
Today's Horoscope
Friday, 16 October 2026
Where the grahas actually stand today, worked out for each rashi. Nothing here is written by hand or by a model — it is the day's transit positions, and what the classical texts say about them.
Choose your Moon sign (Chandra rashi)
Aries (Mesha)
The Moon today
9th house from your rashi
Journeys feel heavy going and effort meets friction.
The Moon moves on at 18 Oct, 8:20 pm
Saturn
12th house from your rashi
Sade Sati — first phase. Saturn is in the 12th from your rashi.
Jupiter
4th house from your rashi
Counted from your rashi, for home and peace of mind, this is not one of the texts' especially favourable positions for Jupiter.
How is a daily rashifal actually calculated?
This rashifal is computed, not written. For each of the twelve rashis it reads where the grahas actually stand today — the Moon's current sign, and where Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu are transiting relative to that rashi — and reports what classical transit rules say about those positions. No sentence on the page is composed by hand or by a model.
Read it from your Moon sign, not your Sun sign
In Vedic astrology 'rashi' means the sign the Moon occupied at your birth. Newspaper and app horoscopes almost always use the Sun sign, and on the tropical zodiac at that, which is why people often find they have been reading the wrong column for years. The two systems differ by roughly 24 degrees, so your sidereal Sun sign is usually the previous one — and your Moon rashi is a separate placement altogether. If you do not know yours, the rashi calculator will work it out from your birth details.
What a twelve-way reading can honestly cover
A daily rashifal divides everyone alive into twelve groups. That is a real limit and worth stating plainly: it can describe where the slow-moving grahas stand relative to a rashi today, which is genuine astrological information, but it cannot know your lagna, your dasha, or which houses those transits are activating in your own chart. The same Saturn transit falls in the tenth house for one person and the fourth for another. Treat this page as the weather, not the forecast for your particular journey.
Why the slow grahas matter more than the fast ones
The Moon changes sign every two and a quarter days, so its transit is a day-to-day matter. What actually shapes a period are the slow movers: Saturn takes about two and a half years to cross a sign, Jupiter about a year, and Rahu and Ketu about eighteen months. Sade Sati, dhaiya and the Jupiter cycles all come from these. That is why this page reports where they stand rather than only what the Moon is doing.
