Short answer: in 2026 the Moon signs with the strongest overall transits are Vrishabha (Taurus), Tula (Libra), Makara (Capricorn), and — from June — Vrishchika (Scorpio) and Kanya (Virgo). That answer comes from where Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu actually move during the year, not from a general feeling about a sign.
How "lucky year" is worked out in Vedic astrology
A year feels lucky or heavy mainly because of the slow planets. Jupiter (Guru) gives growth, opportunities and support when it transits the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th or 11th house counted from your Moon sign. Saturn (Shani) gives results through effort when it is in the 3rd, 6th or 11th, and it brings Sade Sati when it crosses the 12th, 1st and 2nd. Rahu also does well in the 3rd, 6th and 11th. The 2026 transit dates (calculated, Lahiri ayanamsa)
- Jupiter: in Mithuna (Gemini) until 2 June 2026, exalted in Karka (Cancer) from 2 June to 31 October 2026, then in Simha (Leo)
- Saturn: in Meena (Pisces) for the whole of 2026
- Rahu: in Kumbha (Aquarius) until 5 December 2026, then Makara (Capricorn); Ketu moves from Simha to Karka on the same date
Rashi-by-rashi verdict for 2026
- Mesha (Aries): Rahu in your 11th all year supports gains and networks, but Jupiter in your 3rd and 4th is not especially supportive and Saturn in your 12th keeps Sade Sati running. The year improves once Jupiter enters your 5th on 31 October.
- Vrishabha (Taurus): one of the best years. Saturn sits in your 11th (gains) all year, and Jupiter is in your 2nd (money, family) until June.
- Mithuna (Gemini): Jupiter on your Moon sign in the first half is mixed; the second half is better, with Jupiter in your 2nd from June to October. Saturn in your 10th means hard work at the job.
- Karka (Cancer): Jupiter on your Moon sign from June is a big personal-growth period. Rahu in the 8th asks for caution with health routines and sudden decisions.
- Simha (Leo): Jupiter in your 11th until June gives a useful first half, but Saturn in your 8th (ashtama dhaiya) makes this a year for patience. Jupiter's entry into Simha on 31 October starts a better phase.
- Kanya (Virgo): Rahu in your 6th all year helps against competition, and Jupiter in your 11th from June to October brings good months for income. Saturn in your 7th puts focus on partnerships.
- Tula (Libra): a strong first half. Jupiter in your 9th until June (luck, mentors) and Saturn in your 6th (defeating competition) is a classic combination.
- Vrishchika (Scorpio): Jupiter in your 9th from June to October is the highlight; the first half is slower.
- Dhanu (Sagittarius): Jupiter in your 7th until June helps relationships and Rahu in your 3rd adds courage, but Saturn in your 4th (kantaka dhaiya) can weigh on home matters.
- Makara (Capricorn): free of Sade Sati, Saturn in your 3rd all year and Jupiter in your 7th from June make this one of the more comfortable years.
- Kumbha (Aquarius): the last phase of Sade Sati. Jupiter in your 5th until June helps studies and children's matters.
- Meena (Pisces): Saturn on your Moon sign is the peak of Sade Sati, but Jupiter in your 5th from June gives real relief.
Why your own chart matters more than your rashi
These verdicts are for the Moon sign only. Two people with the same rashi can have completely different years because of their dasha (the planetary period running in their life) and lagna. A great Jupiter transit during a difficult dasha feels muted; a heavy Saturn transit during a strong dasha can still bring career growth.
If you don't know your Moon sign, the rashi calculator finds it in seconds. To see your actual dasha and transits together, get a free kundli. For a full year-by-year reading, the Bhavishya report covers the next three years with exact dates. Planning ahead? Read lucky rashi in 2027.
